Master Terrazzo is one of the oldest and most respected terrazzo design and fabrication firms in the United States. They came to Seaver Interactive looking for a marketing makeover. We started with a logo redesign from scratch, quickly focusing on the iconic "compass rose" often inlaid into terrazzo floors throughout Europe during the golden era of navigation. We explored hundreds of typefaces and color schemes, settling on a nice juxtaposition of an elegant sans-serif contrasted with highly condensed typeface in all caps, used to offset the rose.
Seaver Interactive crafted a unique navigation system intended to represent the look and feel of low-profile stone floor inlay and echoing the logo color scheme throughout. The website was crafted page-by-page and project by project, making maximum use of the beautiful photography taken at dozens of Master Terrazzo's unique project locations. These have include airport and sea terminals, commercial buildings, hospitals, museums, casinos, and the Pentagon.
Seaver Interactive designer Bud Lavery, who created the logo redesign for Master Terrazzo, continues to work in partnership with their in-house marketing department. The result is beautifully crafted print brochures, product embroidery and work in other marketing channels — all part of Master Terrazzo's commitment to an elegant, sophisticated brand presence that matches the quality of their terrazzo floors.
