Sailing Song

Michael Labadie is a lifelong sailor with deep bluewater experience and a passion for exploration. Over the past two decades, he has sailed his Hinckley H-48 yawl, Song, more than 80,000 nautical miles, from the rocky shores of Nova Scotia to the Caribbean and across the Mediterranean. What began as a family adventure (homeschooling his two young children aboard while exploring historic ports from Florida to Turkey) evolved into a lifelong pursuit of seafaring independence. With a thoughtful and hands-on approach, Michael has meticulously maintained and upgraded Song, including a recent 2025 refit at Hinckley Yacht Services to prepare her for an ambitious circumnavigation.

To support this next chapter, Michael came to Seaver Interactive to design a sleek, flexible website that would help him recruit experienced crew and share his journey in real time. The result is a streamlined site built on Wix, easy for Michael to update from sea, with dedicated sections about Song’s refit, the sailing itinerary, a crew application portal, and a personal blog. As he sets sail around the world, this digital home will allow him to connect with fellow sailors and tell the story of his journey as it unfolds.
